4k, 120fps. Everything else just how I remember it.

ReVolt is excellent. The RC cars are not a gimmick, the cars in the game really do drive and behave in that lightweight way you would expect from RC.

I just beat Dungeon Munchies a day or so ago. I bought it because I was laughing at the screenshots and thinking "OH hey that combat looks fun. A cute metroidvania crafting game? Sure I'm down.

Several SCPs, apocalypses, plot twists, realpolitiks, revolutions, sentient creatures from beyond the stars and dear god so many tonal whiplashes later I still have no idea what the hell I just went through, but I loved the hell out of it. Combat wise you can go all Fist of the North Star with mark punches, or swing demon summoning scythes, or dual wield a sword and an Uzi.... and they're all valid strategies depending on the foods you choose to eat.

F'n get the game. It's a gem I never exepected to see.

I still play a classic copy as well. Couldn't find details about the track editor through steam but I did find this free community release of the game that apparently is kosher seeing as Acclaim is no longer around?

Also apparently the steam release by WeGo might just be a repackaged version of the community release?

The action side of the gameplay is very Binding of Isaac-lite. Not sure I'm feeling the cult management side of it; they can't feed themselves, they age way too quickly, and seed attrition on farm plots is atrocious.

We don't need to have that dialogue because it's obvious, trivial, and has already been had a thousand times.

I've played through about half of this in two sittings; it's fantastic with only occasional conveyance issues mostly tied to intended routes in grappling belt sections, or combat scenarios intended for its easy to forget "rage mode". The second boss is one big goony brilliant spoiler.

I've beaten the first dungeon and I like the sequel a lot more so far. So far I've gotten three items that aid in exploration and I can see the signposting for at least a couple more, and the inventory has much more room than the four items I'm expecting to pick up. Feels a lot more like ALTTP with how it teases you on exploration, I can see a place I couldn't see before with a new item, but I can tell I don't have the right pieces to actually get there yet.

I just wish I could mark the map with interesting locations I know I'll have to come back to with a later item.
