Lair of the Clockwork God is out and easily the funniest game I've played in a long time. You play as Ben and Dan who finally return from the ancient adventure games Ben There, Dan That and Time Gentlemen, Please. Since all those years ago Dan has decided to become the new darling of indie platformers like Meat Boy. Ben on the other hand still wants to be and old school point & clicker.
What this means is that you switch between the two morons to either solve puzzles with your inventory and brain or jump around on various stuff like a mad bastard. This works well since the puzzles are clever and the action frantic with good controls.
Also, it's once again really funny and well written. I can't recommend this enough if you're a fan of both genres. For some reason it also comes with a free dating sim about the first time our heroes met at school and it's awful.

Wasteland 2? Probably not but it's a good game. Also Krater.

Wasteland Remastered released on February 25th. While I do like the new graphics and sound work I still find it incomprehensible. They haven't really done anything with the gameplay or interface so it feels really archaic. I wish they would at least have added a few QoL changes and a tutorial, but that would have obviously made the original fans mad as hell. They could have created a secondary mode that's actually user friendly.
If you're a fan of the original you'll probably dig this but otherwise I really can't recommend it.

Jupiter Hell is finally out of early access hell on August 5th. For those that don't know it's DOOM but as a roguelike. If it reminds you of good old DOOMRL it's because it's from the same guy. Really great game and I hope it gets more attention now that it's done.

Shiny new trailer with what I assume is the intro movie at the start.

The name got changed to DRL because iD are weenies but it's still available here: https://drl.chaosforge.org/

Also, the new trailer doesn't quite show off how the gameplay works since he's running around like a mad bastard. The old trailer works better for getting a look at what it's really like.

Weirdest thing about Slitherine who made Battlesector and a couple of other Warhams is that they also mad the "simulation" for Deadliest Warrior, that crappy show where you get a samurai facing off against a Zulu warrior. How the hell did that happen?

That makes sense, but it's still kinda weird.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 I guess is some kind of upgrade from a previous 2018 version. I like cars but this type of game isn't really my thing, I'm sure some people would like it though.

I tried the demo a while back and wasn't super impressed. While there are new things to tool around with it felt a bit limited. The fact that they still don't let you plaster the cars with lovely decals is a shame. If anything I'd recommend the 2018 version for now since they're pretty much the same game and the old one has a bunch of cool cars in the Steam workshop.

I tried the CMS2021 demo and welp immediately bought it... The game looks like poo poo but I guess that is the point in this kind of cheap games. Textures and especially engine block & head models look like garbage. And I hate their only drive axle's look... Aand especially the non-existent shadows look super awful after playing some sweeeet RTX games like The Ascent & Control.

Hopefully they'll introduce RTX some day! Of course I played the game whole day and still am excited to continue playing it.... Feels like a good game well worth the :10bux::10bux. If it didn't look so ugly tho.... It would be even better.

With the fluids thing they could have introduced sludge too. Flush the engine multiple times to get the sludge out.. or maybe wash all the parts and put it back together :D

Ended up getting it as well and it's allright. I just wish they would have made more QoL improvements. The shopping list feature is still poo poo so I just take screenshots once I know what parts I need to replace and put them on my second monitor.
Also wish there was more to the driving. Obviously don't expect them to make a proper racing game but the car handling should be better and I should be able to use manual shift and look around. The tutorial parts are also worse so it'll be harder for new players to get into it.
That said it's still good if you just want to tool around with car parts.

You can add the rusty looking parts to list with right click pie menu. Or remove items and in inventory sort by newest. You can then right click to add items to shopping list. I thought the list was garbage until I learned to use it.

It's still a pain in the arse. Once I find everything I need to change and have it in my work order I just screenshot that. Tossing those JPGs up on my second monitor is way less effort and it's silly that you can't just add poo poo from the work order to the shopping list.

The Guild of Dungeoneering remake has a demo out. They've also announced that it's free for anyone who had the original. For those that don't know it's a great little roguelite where you use cards for both building the dungeons and doing combat. I normally hate card based games but this one gelled with me. Oh and there's plenty of singing.
