Entropic posted:Played it for a couple hours tonight and just at the point where I was going "wait is there actually really any new content in here?" it gets, well, there is a lot of new content. I had this too. It’s a weird design choice. For the new content to show up apparently you need to do the Freedom Ending (follow everything the narrator suggests), plus 2-3 other endings if you said you’d played before in the intro questions, or 5-6 other endings otherwise.

Does the button that says Jim come up again after the content introduction! I thought it would work on the voice activated door but it didn’t.

Jeff Minter's adaption of Akka Arrh is now out on Steam and Xbox (and PS4, but for some reason you have to search for it by name on the PSN store) It's not quite the typical frantic Minter game, having somewhat slower gameplay initially in the vein of Every Extend, but interesting variations later on.

Storyteller finally graduated from being a 10 year old HTML game. It’s original, fun, and funny. And you can finish it in 90 minutes and it has no replay value.

Dropped on Steam and other platforms, Llamasoft, a retro game collection by Jeff Minter aka stinky ox formerly of this parish. Interesting historically but not such good value considering that his own modern games are now deeply discounted.

Jedit posted:It comes with a documentary about the history of Llamasoft, doesn't it? That would up the value a bit. It does come with some interesting textual material and some clips from a documentary. But the documentary itself, Heart of Neon, is its own thing. If you’re a Minter fan it’s worth it but they seemed to be trying to sell it as an introduction to his games and IMHO it doesn’t do it that well when you could try Polybius or Moose Life for $5. And, yes, Minter was a goon before migrating to his own forum (which I think is still there)

The modding for Slice and Dice is intriguing, was there an actual thread or wiki?
