Just walking around, exploring the environments and taking in-game photographs is a fairly valid playstyle. Hell, you can avoid killing animals even if you're trying to kill animals! They hear you from miles away and avoid you like the plague. I do think a Pokémon snap style game with this environment would be more fun though, where you have someone judging your photos based on composition and level up/get money for new gear based on the pics you take.
