Well, I think anything that’s just “possession” is a no go, now for sure. I think his attorneys can still be nailed for obstruction for swearing they did stuff they didn’t do. In a just world Trump would also be on the hook for obstruction but eh. For whatever reason Trump is good at getting people to take the fall for him. If there is actual evidence of Trump being so careless that some of his numerous guests walked off with documents then he could still be in some kind of jeopardy but otherwise, yeah, they’ve sufficiently muddied the waters that he’s probably going to skate this one off too. There is all the difference in the world between the two realities, particularly as the laws are mostly written around intent and trump has showed nothing but willful intent but lol that he faces consequences.

I'm on the record with "Trump ain't got the juice anymore" but I think there's a good slice, maybe 10-20% of the electorate that will vote for him no matter what and certainly enough to kill the chances of any non-Trump GOP candidate. Especially if he's gonna go down this route
