Fire and Lightning sure, but people aren't really scared of Water, Ice, Wind, and Earth. They'd have to be specific things, like the Typhoon devil. Earthquake, Blizzard, Tornado, ect.

I guess maybe Makima's deal is she's contracted with tons of different devils? Also hybrids are really weak to sneak attacks huh. They're effectively human before they activate their powers.

So looks like Makima is weaker than the Darkness devil but she can hold him off for a few seconds. So I assume most of the fiends are probably still alive, and Aki is obviously alive, but I wonder how he’ll deal with having no arms. Is there a devil that can heal? I mean I guess he could get the, stitched back on but he doesn’t exactly have much time left.

I guess the only thing that would permanently kill them is destroying every piece of their body? Though they only regenerate with blood so just keeping any pieces away from blood would eventually kill them when it rots away.

Using mind control to get people to accept contracts feels like cheating. Anyway I guess Makima actually is a devil/fiend then? I don't understand how her powers are so broad if she only has the abilities of one devil though. I think it's been said devils can't make contracts with other devils but maybe she found a loophole.

I wonder if once you're contracted(and say you give her everything) with Makima your life can't be "taken" since she owns it. That would explain how the snake lady and the other 2 devil hunters are there, with contracts intact. Alternatively Makima can use corpses to make contracts.

Official translation So this is only 20% of the gun devil? And something killed it at 100%? I feel like the power levels in this manga are gonna get nuts. Also I guess that’s why it’s abilities seem incomplete. At 100% presumably it can just instashoot everyone in the head and heart.

Reading older chapters and Makima tells Aki the Angel devil killed his whole village, which we now know was under her control. She probably used that as a justification for bringing him into custody(well I guess devils don’t have human rights anyway, murderer or not). EDIT: Was it retconned that regular devils can heal from drinking blood? Early on Pochita and Bat healed from drinking blood, and Power regrew her arms somehow, but Spider and Angel are still armless?
