I think I'm going to sit on 40-80 star gazer cards out of this event and sit on them until my resonating crystal is stuck again and use them to dislodge it, much as I'd love to top up my Lucius now.

My first Lucius was the free one we just got, and I'm getting 2 more from this event. He's such a huge boost in various modes even just at elite, doubled my score in both guild hunts (based around mythic Shem).

I'm tempted to, but I'm 3 copies away from Ascension so 2 does nothing for me. If I get one more drop later, the 720 tokens = 80% chance or so of getting him out of Star Gazer while also rewarding a ton of other materials. I could get lucky and not need the drops anyway and have those cards to use for Brutus or one of the Wilders when they're 1-2 away from Ascension. Basically I'm just going to sit on the resources until I have a clear path to breaking the crystal further - that and I also get Faction Scrolls this way which is such a huge boost as I unloaded 30x on Wilders last night and got a poo poo ton of fodder + another Tasi.

At first you think the progress limitation is duplicate character cards. But it's actually hero essence. It was always hero essence you just might not have realized it. Right now I need roughly 190,000 hero essence and it doesn't stop there. Some of the characters need more for the next upgrade that is already done. I'm also not spending any money on my toilet game that requires less than 3 minutes a day.

Just started, finishing up my boot camp week quests. Buying the dust each day. Tragically missed the free Lucius by a couple of days. I am in early chapter 6 and progress has gotten painful. I own Shemira, Brutus, Hendrik, Ulmus, and all rares. I have been using the first 3 plus Arden and Saveas but at lvl 70 Saveas seems bad. Any suggestions for what my party should be?

As someone who is just a little bit ahead of you. You probably need levels. My brute forcing of the chapters kind of ended around there too. Also, Saveas didn't start trucking people till level 100 or so for me.

Gonna apply and wait for a spot in goon guild, but have a couple questions about how the process works. Can you not apply to a new guild without leaving your old one first? If I apply and join some other guild in the meantime, then get accepted, do I automatically switch?

There was a cooldowns after you leave where you can't join another guild. So you might want to leave and start your cooldown. I think it was an hour? I forget.

I sometimes wonder if legendary tier campaign enemies get unique items even if players can't ascend them to mythic and up. Can't figure out why the Vlad in 21-42 is otherwise getting full energy twice as fast as everyone else on the map, regardless of what kind of CC I try to slow him down with.

Saveas has good abilities at 101 and 121 but is just medium offense and weak defense before that. Happily, I spent a faction scroll reward on Wilders and got Nemora to swap him out for, who has a hilariously OP ultimate even at low levels(30% of max HP to everyone!), and that instantly took me through most of Chapter 6. Question, how do the per-battle arena of heroes rewards work? Sometimes I get gold, sometimes I get dust. Does it depend on the difference in levels or is it just random even if you are punching down?

Random. I almost exclusively punch down in arena to make sure I lock in those rewards, especially as there is a "reward from the pit master" chest that can have good stuff in it.

Couple reminders: *Once you hit 16-11 you should SLOW DOWN. If you go 48 hours without completing a level, when you complete that level you will automatically trigger the highest level equipment drop you're eligible for. Very often in this game you hit a wall and then proceed to blow through 5-10 levels before hitting the next wall. If you slow down and take it easy you will get a lot of additional gear from those freebie levels instead of just getting your 1 drop after the wall that blocks you for a week. This adds up very very very fast and gives you a much deeper bench for faction towers, challenger mode, and various adventures. * The $1 25 pumpkin candy is about as close to value as you can get in this game's IAP. If you want to burn some google bucks this is a great place to do it. * Only spend pumpkin candy on a specific hero is it is the one that is going to put you over to an upgrade. If you have never used a Stargazer x10 pull, you're (probably) guaranteed the target hero on your first time. So you functionally get any hero for 180 candy on this event even before you start thinking about the 720 pulls. Faction Scrolls are the best value in this event for the vast majority of people.

I would like to get in the queue for guild members since I am very active, but no rush at all because I found a decent guild that does Soren every few days. In game name is Victor. Next question, what’s the strategy for wishlist? I currently have it set as the top 3 purples and top 2 blues in the level <160 tier list. Should I have it set to more blues to concentrate my fodder and ascend faster?

Putting fodder heroes in your wishlist is trading long term growth for short term. Sure if there isn't even 5 heroes you want then use some of those slots for whatever, but you need to ascend as many different heroes as possible at endgame. And any hero can be used as fodder if you HAVE to, so why not ensure you have all the copies you need of everyone first before you waste wishlist pulls on ones that can only be fodder.

In game help says that wishlist choices don’t influence the chance of getting an elite, so I figured your purple picks boosted your purple draws and your blue picks boosted your blue draws. If they instead give you a purple version of a blue when you get a purple draw, that is indeed bad, why risk it I guess.

The way the wishlist works is when you draw heroes and an elite is picked, it gives it a chance of rolling your wishlist. If it rolls the wishlist chance, it then picks a random slot on your wishlist and gives you that hero, and if that slot is empty is just rolls a random elite hero. There's zero reason to pick anything but the 5 heroes of each faction you want the most. Don't put fodder on your wishlist.

You're correct in that you're trading long term growth for short term, but you're going to very quickly run into a logjam of "I have tons of elite heroes but zero fodder to get them up". I have 3 E+ Lycas and 3 E+ Seirus with another elite version (I've never even had him on my wishlist. the game just LOVES shoveling him at me.) and I'm still waiting for more fodder after I got Nemora, Ulmus, and Tasi to Ascended. I have similar problems for the other factions but to a lesser degree. My recommendation is early on, put the 5 elite heroes that you want/like, but once you start running into getting heroes from legendary plus to ascended, switch to the heroes you're focusing on + fodder.
