My mom had two, and I got them set into gold bezels. I also have an old cane sword from 1900. My grandma always told this story of an uncle that bought it for self defense during the Boxer Rebellion. I found it when we were cleaning out grandma's house and we were all bamboozled that not only had the story not been BS, but that she had it the entire time. I still have no goddamn idea what the guy was even doing in China during the Boxer Rebellion. My guess is lying about where he got the cane sword.
