weirdly enough i just saw sort of the opposite of this on some BEHIND BARS type show one of the guys they'd been interviewing suddenly got called up to court. even the COs were like "we have no idea what is going on here, he hasn't had a disciplinary event since he got here or anything" guy gets shipped to the court house, waits like 6 hours on a wood bench wearing shackles, and at the end they go "oh poo poo you're Joe Smith #1234? we meant to call inmate Joe Smith #1235 i guess never underestimate the power of messed up paperwork

There is a gross sex offender that lives a house away from me that was released last year and I guess part of his parole means he has to wear an ankle bracelet but I see him all over town and he is always next door chatting up the 10 year old girl that lives there. Everyone interacts with him like he is a normal dude and not a guy that molested a drunk child three years ago. He's also mentally disabled so I guess people are sympathetic to him about it? His sister is currently living with the other sex offender that lives in the neighborhood. I will not be surprised at all if both of them reoffend and molest one of the many many kids in our neighborhood. Anyway that's my sex offender story thanks for listening

In the US you can just pop your address into a database and a map will show the 1000s of sex offenders living beside you, in BC the police can’t even give a heads up, I try to live away from trailer parks and near schools to minimize the chances
