Outside of the Rock N Roll Express/Heavenly Bodies stuff, which was great and attributable mainly to those tag teams being awesome, Smokey Mountain Wrestling was poo poo. Everything Jim Cornette has ever booked has been pretty much poo poo booking. He's bad.

Every Wrestling Observer recap of SMW from the point the Gangstas arrive is Dave saying "Jim Cornette said some very uncomfortable racial stuff" " Cornette then did a heavy racial interview on tape which was the interview talked about last week that he did with the Bodies from the WWF. Jim Ross even apologized for the interview beforehand"

More SMW goodness from Jim Cornette, courtesy of old WO reader letters 12/29/1994 - Jim Cornette's line was "New Jack, if you keep flapping those lips, you're gonna kill everyone in the building." "I attended SMW shows on 12/2 and again on 12/29. These were my first exposures to the promotion since I can't pick up the syndication here. I know that many have said SMW is on the decline, and from the dreadful show I saw on 12/2, I saw first-hand this is a two person outfit--Cactus Jack and Tammy Fytch. With Fytch going to Titan, there isn't much left. The only good feud SMW has is Chris Candido vs. Jack. The other feuds aren't interesting at all, especially Rock & Roll vs. Gangstas. If it wasn't for the pre-match racial slurs by Jim Cornette and the sheer pleasure of seeing the Gangstas destroy Cornette after the match, there would have been no heat at all. The Christmas Chaos show was admittedly much better than 12/2, as SMW seems to have earned its reputation of putting on better quality big shows."

I'm starting to think Jim Cornette is some sort of demon or spirit that grows in strength the more people remember and talk about him. The only way we could ever be free of Cornette is if everyone stopped believing in him, like Freddy Krueger. Unfortunately, he has a podcast and the internet, which makes that very difficult.

I can't think of a better final fate for either of those two than just arguing with each other for eternity while no one else has to even remember they exist Also, SMW was 99% poo poo and frequently racist. Rock N Roll Express and Heavenly Bodies carried that promotion, no one else.
