Once more, I'm https://steamcommunity.com/id/theitkraut So far it seems a bit like a crossbreed between Opus Magnum and TIS-100. I'm guessing that cycle counts are going to go up later too, because so far everything has been sub-1000 with rather coarse scaling factors.

I think I have most of y'all in my leaderboards but hey why not https://steamcommunity.com/id/zomborgon Anyway, I said it in the Exapunks thread and I'll say it again here Opening up the precursor catalog to *whatever you want* after the first two is simply evil. So many possible extra challenges...

I think I don't understand chemistry enough... I remove a group and it leaves a Cl atom from that group with a bonded H that it didn't have before. Then when I get the exact layout of C/Cl/H atoms I need, the bonds are going in the wrong directions. In this case, the Chloroform one--some of the Cl atoms are connected to each other instead of to the C.

I just realized that I don't fully understand how shunting H atoms works. It's more than just adding/removing. I need to play some more on an easy level.

Zomborgon posted:You can rotate the manipulators (I think with Q and E) before running the solution, but not during, as far as i've seen. Sorry, I meant 'during the run'. But yeah, that's not necessarily clear either. Guy Axlerod posted:I just realized that I don't fully understand how shunting H atoms works. It's more than just adding/removing. Shunting will kick one off the atom your manipulator is pointing at, and then it goes flying in that direction until it hits another atom and adds one to that.

Ah, I realized my confusion was because I didn't know shunt was a distinct command. I think I used it on accident on one level.

I found this bond priority guide on reddit. no idea how correct it is but here you goquote:When removing bonds, higher level bonds appear to always lose a tier before lower level bonds are touched (e.g. if you have a double and a single bond on one atom, the double will always become a single without fail). Conversely, single bonds will always form before double bonds, double bonds before triples, etc (the atom will try to "even out" as much as it can).

All levels finished, a little disappointed in how little scope there seems to be to optimize for speed on the later levels. Optimizing for fewest symbols/modules is pretty fun and tricky though.

Love to spend half an hour devising the perfect solution, lining everything up, optimizing it, only to realize at the end that this one loving carbon right in the middle is suppose to have a double bond and no manipulator can get an angle on it.
