Speaking of shows with a slightly meandering early season 2 that turned out excellent. So good.
It was definitely extremely soapy at times but I didn't mind as I kind of love all the characters. Maybe it went down better since we were able to binge it (generally one episode a night).

Haven't watched the second one yet, but the Foundation premiere was extremely good.
Never read the books, though. What a wild premise! I love it.
