It seems like most friend groups I meet have some variation or another.
"That's what she said" (Wayne's World/The Office)
"Title of your sex tape" (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)
"That's what they called me in high school" (I've seen it on social media, not sure if it's from something)

The one I have with my friends is when someone says an unusual phrase that could be taken out of context, I'll say "That's the name of my [genre] band", or "Oh yeah, that's that new [famous musician] album." For example, if my friend says "I ate too much Mexican food and now I've got the taco shits", my response might be "Incidentally, The Taco Shits is the name of my early 80s San Diego crust punk band."

I've been hitting "that was my nickname in high school" pretty hard. All the better if I'm saying it to people I went to high school with.

"It's kinda romantic if you think about it" has also come to mind a lot. Playing a lot of Dead By Daylight and can't stop saying it.

"Michael Meyers will not stop stabbing me and taking my body to the basement."
"... kind of romantic if you think about it."

Dave Barry adored this and eventually "would be a good name for a rock band" got shortened to wbagnfarb

Kinda in this vein, I think:

If we're watching tv or overhear something either entirely nonsensical or in a foreign language I don't understand, I'll turn to my husband and deadpan "Y'know, I was just saying that to my [boss/mom/coworker] the other day!"

If I hear some music like death metal or harsh industrial or gangsta rap, I'll look doe-eyed and wistful and say "ahhh, I remember when mom used to sing this to me to get me to sleep."

One of my co-workers says "maybe to you" anytime someone says "that's what she said" for something that could be construed negatively and "not to you" anytime it's something positive. So like, at a restaurant:

A: The serving isn't very big.
B: That's what she said.
A: Maybe to you.

A: This sausage is almost too big.
B: That's what she said.
A: Not to you.

As someone who works in BOH for restaurants, where "that's what she said" is a common refrain, I am totally filing this one away, thank you.

They say, "you mean it's just sounds?" thinking that for something to just be a sound is to be useless, whereas I love sounds just as they are, and I have no need for them to be anything more than what they are.
One that's been in my family for awhile is that's how people get shot

There was a time back in my late middle school or early high school days when my sister was joke-threatening me with a knife or something like that, and my dad said in a very earnest tone, "hey, you know, that's how people get shot." I assume he was referencing one of those news stories about kids screwing around with a loaded weapon and one of them taking a bullet to the head, and he was trying to convey that joking around with something dangerous isn't worth risk of somebody getting hurt. Good sentiment, hilarious delivery. To this day, my sister drops that line when someone is being careless.

I was literally just checking up on replies itt while my husband is working on a video-hacking project involving porn (I can explain if anyone cares). Anyways, the phrase "glitchy tits" came up, and we simultaneously blurted:

Him: "that's the name of my new noise project"
Me: "that's my new SA username"

I like "that's how Hendrix died." Think I picked it up from Phill Jupitus' band.

In a more specific vein I'm very fond of "not with that attitude".
