I haven't seen The Comedy but I saw Entertainment and it's interesting. Definitely has some great parts, I'll watch again. I remember it was a huge pain in the rear end to track down a digital copy legally in Canada. I like art house stuff, but I was surprised at how pretentious it came off at times because I didn't think Gregg would go in for that kind of thing. As I recall there's a lengthy, 2001-inspired psychedelic sequence towards the end? I think if you take that out it's a much better movie. It kind of hosed up the tone in my amateur film buff opinion. e: Like, I kind of remember trying to figure out if they were imitating Godard or spoofing him at some point. It's hard to pick a favorite but this is a top 5 OCU (On Cinema Universe) laugh for me. I flipped on https://adultswim.com/streams/channel-5 before bed last night and caught the 5th Oscar special just in time for Mark in the Diving Suit doing Quint part and that's also a top 5. What I love about the Oscar specials is how they're these long, live constructed dramas that always end in a crescendo of drunk violence and absurd editing. And they pull it off everytime. I think they're much more rewatchable than the series.
