Are they gonna recreate the Last Supper? I hope Gregg ends up as Judas.

I saw Mister America. It wasn't until I processed it the next morning that I felt really sympathetic for character Tim in a way I never did before. Don't get me wrong, he's a piece of poo poo who got 20 people killed and most likely just married a woman in a weird scheme to offload his debts.

What makes me sympathetic to him is how he tries all these creative endeavours. He goes from TV show creator/actor/director to rock band front man, to EDM musician, theater owner, supplement guy, to eventually running for office. None of his efforts were even mediocre. All bad failures. I do admire that he's able to at least get his projects off the ground, fail, and try something else. I've had so many things I've dreamed of accomplishing but never got off the planning stages because of a lack of funding and reality getting in the way. Michael Jordan once said you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Tim is often trying to take shots. But he's missed 100% of those shots regardless.

He usually fails due to a combination of incompetence, addictions, and insistence on injecting his conservative viewpoints. He deserves to fail. And he never learns his why he fails and takes it out on his friends and support network. He's a real pitiable man.

Gregg took a loving contempt charge because his belief is so strong. (As far as I remember.)

The Trial was my first On Cinema that I watched, so I took him as an expert witness at face value. I figured he was the straight man at first. I had no idea that they were both crazy in different ways.

I wonder what effect all these movie delays and productions halted will have on On Cinema.

In other news, episode 1 of Beef House is up.

Detective No. 27

Punkin Spunkin posted:

Beef House was fine. Nothing they haven't pretty much done before. A laugh or two for me. Just glad to see Tim and Eric doing new stuff.

I wonder how much of that was by design.

I do love that they decided to just make the sitcom kids a bunch of T&E's weird old men. Also, I loved that Eric basically existed to get emasculated in every scene he was in.

I missed Mandatory Attendance Tour. The timing just didn't work out for me. :(

Wow. The comparisons of Tim and Joe Exotic are super on point.

On Cinema is gonna be fine. Gregg just posted a brand new On Cinema On Location.

Gregg's total misunderstanding of how public domain works is amazing.

What I want to know is why Tim ('s character) decided to do a movie review show when he clearly does not care about movies. He's always using the show to promote his real passions which are his current vanity projects or scams.
