I know exactly how much everyone I work with is getting paid, and how much people in the same job at other companies are getting as well. It's a small industry so with a few degrees of separation everyone knows everyone and no one wants to see their friends get screwed It’s a western thing. Same deal in Canada, and I’ve heard similar things from people who live in Europe. I can’t imagine places like Japan are any different either considering the rest of the work culture there. Talk about your salaries for sure. Capitalism sucks but it’s also the system that we have for now, so at least try to not be the person getting hosed.

anyway the other day I was feelin lousy and trying to get some rest and so had the terrible secret of sea monkies on and Robert's absolute hysterical glee at revealing to the crowd that the sea monkey guy was a Nazi is one of the most soothing things in the world to me, strange as that is to say. I miss Billy Wayne Davis as a guest, he's always been a favorite of mine. I sort of gathered a whole back from reading on his Twitter that he's kinda done being paid for podcast appearances in pure exposure, which, like, completely fair on his part. But I miss his appearances.

I probably said this before, but I’d love to see Nick Wiger as a guest on BtB. Wigey is low key leftist and I think his bland robot man schtick and Robert’s geriatric millennial persona would blend wonderful to Sophie’s lament. Also, Robert on Doughboys would just be…magic.

Megan Phelps-Roper was on a recent episode of You Are Not So Smart. It was an interesting look into the psychology of those groups and how Megan managed to get out.

It was a few weeks ago but the Dr. Phil episode was really good! I knew he was a bastard in a few ways, but I did not know a lot of the earlier stuff. It helps compliment the episode but I liked the videos Big Joel did on Dr. Phil, where he shows someone who needs professional help but instead is put on a stage and humiliated by Dr. Phil, who just seems like he wants to put them down so the audience can cheer for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsiFsVaKSAw

I wanted to let folks in this thread know a couple pieces of exciting news: My novel is starting to roll out this week. We'll be dropping 3 chapters per week for the rest of the summer. Text of the chapters will be available online, and updated weekly in epub form as well. Eventually the entire book will be available free as an epub. I'm also happy to announce that I've signed a publishing deal with AK press, and a hard copy of my novel will be available for sale sometime next year.
