Northwest Arkansas will pay you $10,000 in bitcoin to move there and help turn it into a crypto hub

If you read the article its even more depressing. 10k crypto, free bike (road or mountain) being paid out by the waltons (of walmart).

the other key thing to note is you can also just have the $10k in real money too if you want

indiana will give you half as much but you can have a free old person instead of a bike

Northwest Arkansas has been on a tear trying to get tech people to move there. Several people I know have been getting targeted ads about the natural splendor of the area and how it is a great place to be in tech. It really baffled us, because honestly, why Northwest Arkansas? The fact that it's just the Waltons trying to have some local tech talent living near WalMart headquarters makes a lot of sense.

Also, some historian should collect all of these "technical analysis" graphs from the past and see how many actually held up to their predictions. (Also also, check that wonderful log scale on the y-axis.)

Northwest Arkansas has a decent startup scene fueled by people who left Walmart but don't want to leave the area as well.

even to stretch to this deception they have to skip the 2014 peak otherwise bitcoin would be rainbow-flatlining

holy gently caress, i love the ingenious rubegoldbergian machinations these loving morons keep coming up with to enforce digital scarcity because nothing they've been doing for the last decade has been worth a drat unless there's some kind of entirely artificial limit placed on reproducibility

At least the limit on their own reproduction is zero.

I blame EA and Ubisoft, etc. for convincing people that a rotating stock of skins in video games are worth $20-50 for this current mess

except even a skin in a game has more utility than an NFT

in this case it's because according to their own napkin math, putting the book on the blockchain would cost $57k per page
