Criminal prosecution of anyone rich is insanely slow, the SEC is slow enough already. These million dollar slaps on the wrist are actually pretty good to have, the SEC is one of the last functioning parts of the US bureaucracy. I'm curious what happens if people just stop following the x year restrictions like Musk did, though.
