Zebras are much more closely related to donkeys than they are to horses. This results in them being moderately intelligent, stubborn, and frequently aggressive for no reason whatsoever. There's a reason humanity has never domesticated them despite encountering them a lot sooner than we did horses. They are, in every sense of the word, striped jackasses.
