Last year we held the first ever NY64 to determine the Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic in WWE history! The Ring Boy Scandal won and everyone wondered how anyone could watch this company. I said I'd immediately follow up with another tournament to determine the worst person in WWE history! Well I'm lazy. The rules are simple: I'm allowing anyone who worked for WWE for a significant amount of time, or worked in partnership with them, or basically the rules are I'm not letting Trump in. You've gotta be a home grown wrestling scumbag to get in my tournament. Hulkamatt and I allegedly broke down half of the bracket here: https://twitter.com/MonumentalPod/status/1198644374185357313 How does it work? Twice a day I will post a poll on twitter. You can find them here https://twitter.com/NY64Tournament and I'll post the links in the thread. Generally the votes start around lunchtime and 8 PM Eastern. Vote for the person you think is more of an rear end in a top hat, the person with more votes advances. If there is a tie both assholes advance. The #16 seeds will be determined by play in votes similar to the NCAA tournament. Play in matches start tomorrow! Hulkamatt forgot to put the seeds on the graphic but you can basically figure it out. The results of the first tournament are here: https://twitter.com/NY64Tournament/status/1086688935596736512 Thank you to the Top Secret NY64 Championship Committee for helping vet the names, Hulkamatt for creating the bracket image and Bix for suggesting some names I wouldn't have considered! davidbix posted:USEFUL ADDITIONAL NOTES AFTER LISTENING TO THE PODCAST, NOW WITH RECEIPTS: MassRafTer fucked around with this message at 14:01 on Nov 26, 2019 |

Inoki being in warms my heart even though I don't think he'll go far just cause I think votes will go to more of the more known WWE guys Also on the podcast you were mentioning Kensuke Sasaki I missed what he did to get on a list like this

I'm guessing there's a pretty good chance Inoki will have the chance to get steamrolled by Mel. People have more mixed feelings towards the 3 people who could stop him. I can't wait to see what happens when we hit HHH vs Benoit.

Vince probably steamrolls until Moolah, then that one is interesting. Who's worse, the abusive pimp who ruined women's wrestling, or the guy who enabled her? Ignoring everything *else* Vince did, of course

Neither wrestled for the WWE but Hart at least made regular appearances in the 90's and both trained a bunch of folks for the McMahon machine. edit: Oh didn't notice it was J up there. I know his dad was a carnie, but haven't heard too many stories about him yet. I still think the top left bracket is pretty strong, and most folks up there could carry the whole thing. Calling Moolah a 'pimp' is too flattering. 'Sex trafficker' seems more appropriate since the girls didn't know they were being pimped out until it was too late (to my understanding)

It’s on Benoit. If you’re feeling up to killing your family, there’s places you can get checked in and straightened out. Benoit willfully ignored every out from all of this. If you tough out whatever past the point you cannot even call the ground you stand on your own, you’ve already lost, take L gracefully as possible.

See I used to be on the side that thought the Concussions played a roll in it for awhile till I looked at the Football/Hockey guys with CTE and most of them while ending up in bad places didn't do double murder. Benoit should cruise through the bracket and I think only Vince and Mel could probably get me to vote against him

Benoit could have changed his style, it’s completely on him. Partial blame goes on WWE for not taking care of him when he was well past taking care of himself.

HHH is my overall pick, honestly. He does all the macho paternal poo poo but it seems like every time something goes south he’s one of the voices that could have stopped it. HHH could have spoken up on any number of tragedies and put a stop to it. Even the Owen Hart stuff.

I'd put Vince or Moolah over Benoit. Pragmatic systemic evil for me is just something that wins out over personal, visceral evil. And at least Chris Benoit killed Chris Benoit, which is way more than Vince or Moolah ever did for society. ChrisBTY fucked around with this message at 06:34 on Nov 25, 2019 |
