ive never had a sig b4 and six thinks i should have one but i also really need a namechange first bc im done with my current one but given that i am too poor to spend money on the forums and also im not entirely sure what even i want my new name 2b so idk how to proceed with asking 4 a sig

Edminster posted:ive never had a sig b4 and six thinks i should have one but i also really need a namechange first bc im done with my current one but given that i am too poor to spend money on the forums and also im not entirely sure what even i want my new name 2b so idk how to proceed with asking 4 a sig go ahead and ask for the sig and don't worry about it! we do new sig threads pretty regularly, whatever gets made there can always be another one down the line. also it's not uncommon for people to wear sigs with their old usernames. also also the original artist might be up for just swapping in a new name if you ask nicely when the change goes through. the way we seem to approach things is that anyone can ask for a sig, whether you're a regular poster in byob or not (although we hope you stick around if it's right for you). however, people who make sigs do so when (if) they have time and inclination, and things are not necessarily done in any order. if someone sees a sig request and has an idea they may decide to work on that one just because. so please don't be offended if your request doesn't get addressed right away, or even if it slips though the cracks (which we try not to let happen, but it has happened to me and I usually just go ahead and make my own sig). there's no malice to it. also feel free to (respectfully) repeat a sig request if some time has gone by without a response. we also generally encourage anyone to take a stab at making sigs for others if they feel like it. the recipients are almost always happy that someone has gone to the effort, no matter how much "talent" the maker has. so please feel free to jump in if you have the inclination!
