Not sure if you saw but the price of oil futures went negative and now a barrel is like $13. It's bad with not a lot of signs of turning around before the end of the year. There have been something like 30,000 white collar layoffs just this month in the oil and gas world.

It is pretty sobering how many small and independent businesses are being shuttered off downtown while landlords complain about how people are pushing for rent strikes and rent freezes hurts their bottom line. There's been one too many "I don't like being painted as the villain here!" interviews from property owners for my liking.

You had to have a Bachelors degree to get a job at kfc and Starbucks needed one from a top university.

i'm irl friends with op he has been quite successful and has accepted a buyout for his abandoned trash garage coffee shop franchise empire. I believe it was purchase by Peet's for 12.9 million.

I did get a job though. I've been restoring my savings. Hopefully one day life will return to normal and I can make dreams come true.
