Fun little prisoner’s dilemma. The candidate selection - death selection is kinda twisty. I also assume that the only moratorium is on actually revealing their cards but people can say whatever. Game theory speculation to follow: However, only the sacrifice has any reason to say they’re the sacrifice. Getting votes is bad for everyone else. It’s in everyone’s interest to claim to be the key master, its not in commoner’s interest to claim to be the sacrifice. The no deaths option is for the sacrifice to be voted for, then for the sacrifice to choose to stay in the game. The other option is to team up on some commoner schmuck, but you need 6 buddies on board with killing two people by vote, or at least 3 buddies if you can convince everyone else not to vote for the sacrifice. And if the goal is to have things not rotate around others people’s choices, trying to get 6 people to vote for two deaths seems a lot more trouble than convincing the sacrifice not to kill 9 people. Only wrench here is a sacrifice with a clear and vested interest in saving themselves and/or one buddy. So... Joe. All this assuming, of course, that everyone involved doesn’t have bouts of nihilism, misunderstands the rules, just makes poor choices, etc. M.c.P fucked around with this message at 16:57 on Feb 4, 2020 |
