This game feels like the exact middle point between a Danganronpa game and a Zero Escape game. Also if we need to vote on this I say Whatever option lets us go with Keiji. It's not that I don't trust Joe, but I think Keiji has more valuable skills and might have more insight into the situation.

This feels like a logic puzzle. There has to be some arrangement where no matter if we fire a blank or a real bullet into a dummy (because let's be real, we're going to shoot a dummy first), we can deduce the pattern.

Kai seemed like a level-headed guy who would be the voice of reason (Joe being a moral center and Keiji bringing intuition and a detective nose), but this throws him into a new light.

The game seems to want us to focus on the quartet of Joe/Keiji/Kai/Sou for now, and those four are probably going to be the people with the most scrutiny, at least at the moment.

Keiji does seem to have some degree of insight and reasoning that I would expect of a detective, but I can see why Joe would have reservations. So I say I think he is.

And then, of course, there's the Sage. Who knows that Sara is to be trusted and shouldn't be voted for?

My minimal knowledge of Japanese makes me feel like "Alice" should have been localized as "Arisu" just so it sounds... you know... Japanese.

And we still have no clue who the Sage is...

I hate you so much, Sou.

...is Joe the Sage? Or is he just naturally trusting Sara?

Vote Sou.

You know, that actually reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask. Why? As in, why are they running this death game? What's the point? There is two possible answers in my head-I'll label the two as "Option Zero Escape" (The people running this game have a concrete objective in mind) and "Option Danganronpa" (Getting people to murder each other is fun, lol).

Thanks, now Joe is scary. Yay. Is Keiji going to become our new BFF? Because I'm still just a tiny bit wary of him...

Okay, I have a theory: This whole game (not this specific trust sub-game, the whole thing, from top to bottom) is some sort of... crazy, illegal psychological experiment. See how trust breaks down. How people react to specific things. Game theory. The whole shebang.

Honestly, I think at this point we're more Zero Escape than Danganronpa.

What did Sou have to gain from giving Joe the card? The kicks of seeing Sara lose him?

My (Minimal) knowledge of Goroawase (the Japanese rule of turning a long string of numbers into a phrase or vice-versa) lets me explain this. 3 = sa(n) 6 = mu Rai is left alone. first 8 = Ya 1 = i(chi) second 8 = ba

I think Sou's downfall is the fact that he's assuming everyone around him is as cutthroat and willing to be cruel as he is.

Keiji.

I do remember that Ranger straight up said that, if all goes well, everyone can survive this Main Game.

I'm sorry, Doll Reko... but we need to save Gin. Push her.

Uhhh... well, my theory about this being some sort of experiment was right, if Satou is telling the truth.

How does Gashu's negative emotion research fit into this? ...maybe the point of this is to turn Sara into a cold-hearted emotionless manipulator by breaking her.

You know, I still don't get why Sou is so (ba-dum-tish) afraid of Sara for. Is he just paranoid? Is he fundamentally mentally disturbed enough that he thinks that all people are just like him and cruel and callous?

I wonder how much this would change if we had the Reko lives, Alice dies ending to 2-1.

Considering Sou was surprised by the fact that Nao grabbed it and ran, I actually don't think he's behind the Mishima AI.

I know this is kind of a "NO poo poo" thing to say, but this part of the game (and of course, the version we played in Chapter 1 Part 2) feels like a Mafia game.

Out of curiosity, are the events proceeding mostly the same on the Reko Lives path, with Reko claiming Commoner like Alice does now?

I'd assume using Your Time To Shine to plug a gap.

Voting for Nao seems like an early/bad ending of sorts... But honestly, with Sou-wait, no, Shin kind of redeeming himself... Hmm... But Kanna's... Ahhh... ...I'll wait for some other people to make convincing arguments first.
