Gosh the organizers sure are obsessed with lifelike dolls and AIs.

What if everyone in the game is themselves an AI in a lifelike doll

I mean, Sue Miley sneaking into Sara's room and handing her secret bonus info could also easily be seen as unfair. As could, like, putting a 12 year old in a death game to compete with a pro baseball player. Or hiding a rules explanation somewhere anyone is unlikely to look, then when explaining things in person failing to mention a key loophole.

The general gist of this game has never really been "things are going to be fair", even beyond the knowledge gap aspect. It's more... trying to combat the unfairness as much as possible and potentially subvert it. Just in this update, if you believe Rio Ranger, he didn't actually expect the entire cast to survive the attraction and clear chip subgame to get to this point.

Yeah, like Kai spelled it out pretty clearly at the end of the first chapter. No point playing in a rigged game, don't give them the satisfaction, etc.

Spare her, she's just as alive as original Reko. Don't do a murder.

It specifically said the fifth one alone would be enough to kill a full grown man, so if we leave it to the stinger someone dies. It's either let a definite person die or kill a maybe person, I don't think there's any cheeky way out of this without something dying it might as well be the robot.

No, it said that all five would be enough to kill a full-grown man.

Perhaps the lesson is that consequentialism is not a useful framework for moral decision making when you have no way of predicting consequences.

If it turns out that this death game is a novel way to research negative emotions, they could have just taken a look at the last few pages of this thread.

That's what we call ludonarrative consonance.

Gashu's clue makes me feel even more strongly that being a candidate is related to parentage - with both Kanna and Q-Taro being orphans, and Sara and Gin's fathers not being their biological fathers, we already have a good number of people whose background is set up for a big twist. Who knows how many of the others are in similar boats?

There's already been talk about this whole thing being a plan to recreate the Hades Incident, I'm starting to think that all the candidates were shaped from birth to play their parts in this.

Also, Sou.
