Just got my first clear with the dodge chance gloves. Absolutely wrecked all the bosses. By the time I reached Hades the feather had given me like 34% dodge chance. Does turning on God Mode have any negative effects or do anything else other than make you stronger?

Yeah every time I die and come back I think "there's no way there's new dialogue" and the game proves me wrong. Pretty incredible.
