Nah it would be good. The studio tore the fuckin film apart, commissioned two edits, one by a trailer company and neither by the original director and blended them together themselves. It's why you have utterly baffling things like every character having three intros and half put together story arcs and why there's a bunch of pop songs that don't fit. The original was almost all hip hop. Originally, and this was filmed, Harley ended up together with Deadshot. Cut out because the studio was racist. Diablo lived. Whole bunch of stuff. It is a guarantee that any Ayer put together version would be way more cohesive and make more sense.

Fast-forwarded to the end just to confirm that it does indeed follow the formula and her and David Spade wind up together in the end which is pretty hosed up based on just seeing the beginning. There's no sequence of events that could make it OK. Also, some fat guy ate Nick Swardson. And David Spade has gotten so old that movies now have to have his inappropriate romantic pairings explicitly go "I'm OK with the huge age gap between us."

Was it this thread talking about Hellraiser recently? I watched 1 & 2 today because people were saying those were the good ones. They were right about 1, awesome special effects scenes and a creepy story. 2 starts out kind of coherent but just ends with a bunch of scenes stapled together with no real connective tissue to help you understand what the point is. Some interesting ideas I guess, but everything starts to break down to stuff happening just because.
