I've never been irritated or exhausted with Jane's World and I think it's pretty well-drawn, I'm not sure what anybody could find to hate about it other than it being a pretty standard aughts-era strip about hip white people lounging around. I also want to say that Adam's World is hit or miss for me but I really like that one about joie de vivre. It feels real in a way the strip usually doesn't, the way a parent and kid can be hanging out and casually learning stuff. I like that it shows the kid not knowing something and the dad teaching without making either character into a punchline, instead recognizing those little teaching moments as really rewarding and important.

It's also very nice how Adam only kinda knows the thing he's teaching, too, and admits it, without having it become a big played-out thing. I know this strip is mediocre most of the time but there were enough of these moments in recent memory that I was happy with picking up posting it.

Does Evans even know what a leek is? Branchy green top and single white stalk? That looks like asparagus. It would even have been a little bit easier to draw it correctly.

If you're speculating that the Evanses have not, uh, had sex with kefir I guess I'm inclined to agree. Anyway kefir kicks rear end in soups and stews.

LazyQ posted:Mämmilä The remarkable thing about Hurriganes was that their singer Remu didn't speak a word of English, and he had to phoentically learn to sing all of their songs. And honestly while they're somewhat corny, they did write a bunch of pretty rocking tunes back in the day.
