Oh, wow, today's 9cl. It'll be hard to top that one today for awkward horniness.

I could give it a pass if she said she was going to test out of her current classes which she took because they were really easy. It'd be a stretch, but it would be something.

I hate McEldowny's comics more than Luann or Holbrooks comics.

Luann is usually mundane and out of touch. But it doesn't revolve entirely around a creepy old man's fetishes.

Holbrooks comics feel like a creepy old man's fetishes, but his comics also work as unintentional criticisms of modern-day capitalism and center-left politics.

McEldowny's comics are usually mundane, out of touch, they revolve around his fetishes, and there's no way to read the comic as anything other than "what is Brooke getting off to this year?"

I feel like the latest 9CL has added layers of horrible implications depending on whether or not the couple is microphoned right now. And if stage managers and theater hands exist at that theater and in the wider comic universe.

Wild fires don't work the way Mark Trail seems to think they work. They don't spread from nothing to everything, then stop from growing long enough for people to just walk around the woods for hours with flames on both sides of a path.

Okay, I get that Rip Haywire doesn't have the strongest continuity, but I'm lost. How did Rip's dad figure out that someone was giving Jenkins info and that it was Breezy? And are we due for another continuity reboot where Rip goes with Cobra?

I'm probably paraphrasing the Something Positive comic wrong, but I remember the strips around PamJee amounting to "Hey, you've been looking for a kid for a while, we have a kid you guys can adopt but her health is pretty bad and things are going really rough for her and you'll only be provisionally granted custody so try not to gently caress up or we will take the baby from you."

I'm glad everybody was super concerned about Pure TJ's precious pennies at the hands of the nefarious and scheming Shannon at the beginning of the week.

Also lots of couples with kids have both parents working. Even firefighters. If you really want kids, you make it work. If you don't want kids (Toni) you come out with it and say you don't want kids. Preferrably before you get married.

Calling it now, adopting Shannon is Brad and Toni's compromise.

I don't know what's going on with PCC. We haven't had a new one since February 9, and now there's two in a row, not on Sundays and without any drop panels but sized about the same as the Sunday ones, and they appear to be the same artist, but the two strips seem otherwise unconnected. It's strange.

Randy Millholand was tapped to draw a few more, new Popeye comics. He was also the only one to tell jokes in his comics, so that might have a thing to do with it.

How Not to Compose a Comic Strip.

- The panel break is completely unnecessary and only adds confusion. It makes us think at first that that's Amos's hand, a few seconds later.
- So I guess the hand belongs to one of the characters that's actually a supernatural space demon or whatever? Or perhaps God Himself? Who knows?
- Note that the Holy Glow will not appear at all in a newspaper that prints weekday strips in black and white, leaving no clue to the above.
- Is the hand writing the word with a pen, or peeling off an adhesive letter? The hand's position would seem to indicate the latter. But in either case... what's actually being said here? Is God labeling this section, perhaps to call Amos's attention to it? Is He removing a label He finds inaccurate for the books in question (of which we have no information)? Who, what, why?
- It goes without saying that Amos will not mention or react to this apparition in any way in subsequent strips.

I read it as Piss Genie wanting Amos to worship him

Harry would telegraph the reveal in the chorus but nobody would pick up on it until the final stanza.
