Strix, if I can make a humble request (since I think it's around the time of these strips), can you post the story where Wally steps on a landmine if you come across it?

I seem to remember it going on for weeks, and having a really, really dumb conclusion.

You're cool for wading through this old stuff.

god drat, it takes about 36 strips to cover the land mine storyline and all the surrounding "a dumb american writes about life in the middle east" stuff. I'm going to pull a true batiuk and interrupt cancerwife to post this - half today, half tomorrow. you're welcome.

:yeshaha:

Thank you for inflicting this on everyone else as well.

And here's the second half of "wally steps on a landmine". I hope you're ready to be mad.

the end! two notes: love to punch out the man who just saved my life! also, :ughh:

:allears: Yeah, that's exactly what has stuck with me all those years. Khan has saved his life twice now, but better punch him out because U-S-A! U-S-A!

Lisa's story is over. Les' story begins. We pick up a day after she dies.

I'm sorry, so Lisa's ashes got lost? Is that why her ghost showed up to Les at the airport one time? She's now a revenant stuck in lost baggage?

Probably because that was also my tried and true Risk strategy

(Is Moomin mugs a thing in the states? Because there's a huge collector's market for them in Scandinavia and some mugs can be really valuable)

Not in the states (we're defective and lack a love of Moomin), but I have a couple that I bought at a Moomin Cafe when I went to Tokyo.

Nobody is allowed to use them but me.

Fun random factoid regarding Moomin and Japan:

Japanese Sign Language has a sign for Moomin (index finger goes nose to chin indicating the snout-shape). It was actually the third word I learned after 'gaijin' and 'bathroom'.
