Stargate SG1 would have been edited on video like Star Trek Deep Space 9 so it would be a massive undertaking to get the pre-HD seasons to HD.

Amazon had SFU all in HD at some point, but now only appears to have s3 onwards. I don’t know why sadly.

Amazon lost their HBO rights awhile ago for catalog shows.

It also looks like only season 3 onward for Six Feet Under is in HD.

As someone who just caught Future Man and adored it: it's okay to skip season 2 if you don't like it. It dips into being a very different show that I didn't like nearly as much. If you're in the same boat, you can jump to the season finale and then just continue on into season 3 which picks up the ball of the first season.

What's worse is that they sell the SFU box set on iTunes but it's SD only even though seasons 3-5 are available in HD individually. Same with SG-1 when some of the later seasons are definitely in HD.

It is a fun show, and now I am really enjoying the "Beat the Judges" spinoff they're doing. David Baker has some serious talent, but it was also extremely satisfying to (spoilers, maybe?)see J. Neilson constantly choke under pressure, considering he does nothing but talk poo poo about the contestants on a normal ep.

Yeah, bundles on digital stores are almost always the lowest common denominator when it comes to quality, you see the same with HD vs UHD now too.

But seriously, do they really just stick with Navy crimes through the whole show? Or is it like Law and Order SVU where they handle all sorts of wacky poo poo but there's cum on the crime scene or child porn in someone's pocket just so there's an excuse for the SVU to handle it?

I assume Simon Rich is going to adapt another one of his short stories for it. I have to imagine he's kind of running out of suitable ones though seeing as he also wrote the original story that they turned into that Seth Rohen pickle movie that drops this week.

The last few episodes are pretty strong.

But yeah, they slashed the budget and the comic writing seemed to evaporate along with the fight scenes. There's some good stuff, but it's very po-faced, IMO.
