Like animated movies? Of course you do.

Welcome to the animated movies thread. Yes, you can talk about the ungodly large flood of live-action Disney remakes here.

Here's some fun (and maybe not so fun) movies to watch right now or look forward to. Click the title of the movie to watch a trailer if the movie has one.

Past movies:
Frozen 2
Cats
Spies in Disguise

Present as of April 2020:
Sonic the Hedgehog (February 14, 2020)
NOTE: Thanks to backlash from pretty much everyone, Paramount had to go back and remake Sonic's look which also delayed the movie to February 2020 from November 2019. You should really watch the old one. Includes Gangsta's Paradise!

Onward (March 6, 2020)

Trolls World Tour (Digital only, did not release in theaters)

-------------------------------------------------------------

Future Movies:
(NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of these movies probably will have alternate releases (digital only), will be delayed, or won't release at all.)

Scoob! (May 15, 2020, Digital only, will not release in theaters)

Mulan (July 24, 2020)

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run (August 7, 2020)

Wish Dragon (sometime in 2020, probably after July 2020 as it was delayed from the original July 19th date)

The One and Only Ivan (August 14, 2020)

The Mitchells vs the Machines Connected (October 23, 2020)

Soul (November 20, 2020)

Tom and Jerry (December 23, 2020)

The Croods 2 (December 23, 2020)

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (January 15, 2021)

Raya and the Last Dragon (March 12, 2021)

The Boss Baby 2 (March 26, 2021)

Vivo (June 4, 2021)

Minions: The Rise of Gru (July 2, 2021)

Hotel Transylvania 4 (August 6, 2021)

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 (October 7, 2022)
First movie has its own thread. The second one will probably get one when it's closer to 2022.

Sing 2 (December 22, 2021)

Spies in Disguise reminds me of Batman in the sense that while Walter is admirable in that he has a 'no killing' rule, some of the non-lethal tech he develops is super hosed up, like the pen that liquifies your bones. And for a significant part of the story, that power is controlled by a regular run of the mill pigeon.

The message gets nerfed a little but I do think the point is partially "woah this poo poo is actually hosed up isn't it".

That part where they interrogated the boneless fat guy was amazingly animated however.

I did notice that Thumbelina was on Disney Plus already, so that might help you out a bit.

Anastasia somehow wasn't, which is a shame.

Thumbelina is Warner, Anastasia is Fox. So, if anything, it would make more sense for the latter film to be on Disney+.

Troll in Central Park is a movie I watched, like went out of my way to watch it, about a decade ago because it was a Bluth movie I hadn't seen. I fell asleep maybe 20 minutes in and woke up to the kids going back to their parents and listening to that atrocious song Deluise sings. I had no inclination to watch it again to see if there was anything good I missed.

At least The Pebble and the Penguin has Tim Curry to keep things interesting, Rock-a-doodle is just trippy the whole way through. Troll in Central Park has no redeeming qualities, whatsoever.

There are four movies that are supposedly coming out this year...with no trailers. I don't think they're coming this year.
