I watched Frozen 2 last night and I can't remember what happened except for the scene where Elsa tames the water horse. There were a lot of songs though. I feel like there were too many actually, and I kinda just zonked out because of that I think.

They should cast the two kids from Jojo Rabbit in the Sonic sequel. They've been likened to miniature versions of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost on social media and I agree.

The rain drop inner peace scene in KFP2 is easily the peak of the franchise, and one of the best scenes from an animated film in general (imo). I get goosebumps just thinking about how good that whole bit was—the flashbacks in traditional 2D were great, the music, and I loved Po's costume design with the bandages and stuff there. Super good movie; I'll watch it sometime this week now I think, hah.

I don't think Atlantis is a hidden gem. Maybe underappreciated? It's good movie that I found fun and entertaining, and I love the art. Kida is rarely ever acknowledged as a Disney Princess though, and that sucks since she's great. I might be biased in my appreciation for Atlantis because it gives off heavy Avatar vibes imo—the James Cameron movie, not the animated show—and I'm a Cameron fanboy that loves Avatar so :v:

George and Lance are amazing, haha. Love the "lunch" tattoo. I guess it being only a 7 episode season didn't leave much in the way for developing character growth and storylines for the rest of the cast in SUPER exciting fashion, but I still was pretty in it. Not sure when my friends and I are going to start S3 yet though, as I've got other plans this weekend.

Apparently it won't be simultaneously on D+ and in theaters either, it will most likely be only online. This is apparently what they're telling theaters behind the scenes.

Aside from the pandemic being the obvious reason releasing movies in theaters right now is dumb, I do wonder how much of the decision to make Mulan a $29.99 VOD exclusive on Disney+ was charged by the possibility that the movie would likely bomb in China if it were released theatrically.

If you don't mind, I'm going to call you out on your post. You first note that it's tonedeaf to make a tasteless joke, but after that you edit in that you read more on it with detail on what was said. This makes it seem like you were determined to be offended without even knowing what happened.

I got forwarded a barrage of tweets from a friend of mine about what was happening last night since we're currently watching She-Ra together and enjoying it. She seemed pretty upset while we were discussing, so I had immediately assumed it was some serious poo poo after going over the stuff she forwarded my way. So, yes, I was already 100% offended/upset based on my friends initial reaction and going over what I saw and then relayed that info here. Not blaming her for any misinformation, because I don't want to speak on her behalf on how she feels about the whole thing. I only edited in my additional thoughts after wading through the trending twitter topic and finding that string of tweets I linked above that provided me a bit more context afterward. I'm not going to edit out what I said because I'll cop to absolutely posting in knee-jerk fashion.

[edit 2] I also finally found a twitter thread that has footage of the jokes:

https://twitter.com/i/status/1298827799520849920
And yeah, from all the stuff I read beforehand, they made it sound like everything seemed way worse. loving twitter.

Darth TNT posted:

And honestly, the joke is ridiculous.
There's a guy who's name is bow and he wields a bow. Making a joke about how he has a brother named sow who works on the field is just a good joke. Had he been white everyone would've laughed their asses off. But because black you can't say that? Maybe we can't name Bow bow either, because who knows how many black slaves used to work in Bowyery for their rich owners.

This one though, after watching the clip, still is a rough go and I can 100% empathize with how a comment made in jest like that could be upsetting to a lot of fans. But Noelle apologized so

Probably the only person who doesn’t approve of LeBron being in Space Jam 2 is Blake Griffin, who was all set to do the “basketball star turned movie star” thing. He was super talented, funny, and got drafted to the Clippers and helped make them relevant for the first time basically ever. It got to the point where he did stand-up sets at comedy clubs during an injury break. MJ made news around the time that Lebron was in Trainwreck saying that BG should be the star of Space Jam 2, and he was in a Space Jam-themed shoe commercial. Then once Lebron won a ring in Cleveland he decided he was gonna go full Hollywood, it turned out he was great in Trainwreck and that was that. Blake got exiled to Detroit at the beginning of 2018 and no one heard from him ever again.

This is some good rear end lore, lol.

And it's a great time! Like when I saw Rise of Skywalker, it was a garbage movie, but I still had a really fun time cackling and cracking jokes with my friends alongside me.

The simple solution would be to turn off your phone/laptop/tablet until the movie is over. Or put them in a different room. Lmao.
