I loved the original and bounced off the sequel right quick. I almost skipped HM2, because several people posted opinions like this, but IMO it's not really that bad. Some open levels can be annoying, but I didn't find it particularly difficult compared to the original game. I even missed that there was an aim lock for guns/throwing weapons and managed to beat it without it.

Yeah, Offworld Trading Company is pretty bland. The gameplay mechanics (dynamic resource prices, buying your competitors' stocks) are neat and make me think that it might be fun against friends, but since I'm a single player enthusiast I stopped after few full sessions against the AI.
