Can't believe that there are still developers who think selling game music is a good idea. They should be looking at soundtracks as a way to generate interest and sell the product, not trying to monetize the 5 people who are stupid enough to grossly overpay for some mediocre music.

I like videogame music because its mostly instrumental stuff, and I'm not a big fan of music with vocals.

Asking this here because the main thread is dead and seems spoilerrific : I've been playing Return of the Obra Dinn for about two hours and I decided to stop because I feel like I must be missing something and ruining the experience for myself as a result. After the tutorial, I've really done nothing but catalog obvious causes of death and pick out the names of two people that were made really obvious by them being called out, plus two guesses based on an age-related assumption. I feel like I must be missing something I should be doing, but I don't know what. Sometimes I see context I could maybe read something into, but I have no idea what internal rules the storytelling operates on, so I don't know if things are pointing to someone being in charge of something or an underling. It doesn't feel like the game is meant to be played this way, so I'm sure I'm either overlooking something or taking the wrong approach, but I'm not sure what.

The key thing is to take everything into account. Almost every bit of info is some sort of hint. The game also expects you to make strong educated guesses, and very rarely does it give you concrete info that 100% confirms the identity of a person. Also, keep in mind that once you have identified 3 people correctly, the game confirms that you have done so.

It's so bizarre, since they made the classic version Starcraft free, with the HD version being an upgrade.
I imagine so its they can force everyone to use the new EULA which gives them the rights to every mod for the game. They even removed offline LAN play.

The hamburger stuff is good though. Although, I mostly agree with what you are saying. Also, the fact that there is an act II for the game, but it actually doesn't have much new content in it, and most of it is spoiled by the in-game teaser.

Atlus are complaining about PC piracy even when their game is not on PC. Ya no poo poo if it's available on some emulator people who can't buy it will try that, atleast give them the option to get it legitmately where it doesn't cost a additional console. Also consoles are notriously expensive in the countries where emulation/piracy is high.

Ways I have had my runs ended in Outer Wilds (not really spoilery but spoilered anyway to be thorough):

- a cyclone picked up my ship and tossed it onto a mountain 30 seconds after I got out of it to explore
- autopilot crashed me directly into the moon
- jumped to a distant platform that turned out to be completely occupied by ghost matter and I couldn't see the telltale crystals until it was too late
- jumped to the ledge above me that turned out to be completely occupied by ghost matter and I couldn't see the telltale crystals until it was too late
- autopilot crashed me directly into the Hearthian satellite
- died to fall damage while jumping around on the Interloper (somehow)
- was busy watching something on my map when suddenly I was crushed to death by rising sand in an area I didn't know had rising sand
- autopilot flew me into one of the chunks orbiting the white hole at full speed
- died to the end of the time loop RIGHT after struggling like hell to get into an interesting area (on at least 5-6 occasions)
- autopilot crashed me directly into the Interloper when the Interloper was the autopilot's actual assigned target
- suffocated or ran out of fuel halfway through an exploration run because the game really hates you having fuel if you aren't near a campfire or your ship
- autopilot hard-reversed and crashed me directly into the planet I was just taking off from

I finished the game. I loved the discovery and the story. I hated playing it.

The game explicitly tells you that auto-pilot is a death trap and you have to pay attention or you'll end up flying into the sun.

It could use more bosses (rather than the slim variations you get on floors one and 2), maybe some secret floors, etc. Compared to something like Enter the Gungeon, it just feels really light for this type of game. I felt the same way about Dead Cells. Each run ends up feeling too similar to the last.

It looks like I'll need to clear it 7 more times to see the end credits. Not sure if I want to grind that out or not.

I still dug it, though, and got a solid 12 hours of enjoyment out of it.

Yeah, I get that they are targeting the people who like to endlessly replay a rogue-like after they have beaten it once, but it feels like there is a huge grind to reach the true end of the game. After I beat one run legitimately. I turned on godmode and modded the broker so I could have infinite resources, but its still a giant hassle.
