Cardiovorax posted:Yeah, I'd just give the SPLC a fiver instead. No offense intended, but I've gone through Itch.io's catalogue before and I don't think I'd play any of those games even if I got them for free. I was just kind of amused at the way they bill the bundle as being totally worth 3500+ dollars. jesus christ how much can one person about a charity bundle of soon-to-be 1000+ games and tabletop materials to donate to causes related to a guy getting executed over the course of 8+ minutes while crying for his mom

spent a few minutes clicking through the itch.io bundle and pulled together beacon, extreme meatpunks forever, minit, night in the woods, tongiht we riot, verdant skies and vilmonic into a folder. were mainly the big ones i'd initially had my eye on. pretty excited to check these all out

couldn't exactly tell if it was posted about after it came out, but NORCO recently released on the 24th and if the idea of a southern gothic point and click adventure with lush pixel art and ambience set in the relatively near future of louisiana's southern coast sounds cool to you then i can highly recommend it. has some fun extra elements to it, little minigames to break things up here and there so it's not entirely just clicking on items and talking to people. occasional bits of combat if you want to get into that, although it's not really a focus in any way. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1221250/NORCO/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXW3bQKmn0k i feel like it's kind of rare to see weird little passion projects like this become notable these days so i'm more than happy to sell people on it given that it's currently 12 bucks for the next couple of days and also offers a demo of the first act of the game if you want to get a feel for it.

err posted:The art in this looks so good I'm going to try the demo i think progress in the demo carries over to the full game if you've done that when you buy it. so that helps the atmosphere is topnotch

ultrafilter posted:Bloodstained and Child of Light were both very good games but I'm really not sure who wanted the mashup. it's more free stuff after years of pretty dope updates to a good game that's had a bunch of stuff get in the way and slow down devtime so i'm pretty good with whatever they want to do

goferchan posted:Looks really cool, it's probably in earlier-early access than I would usually spring for but hell it's on Gamepass so why not. the first game came out as early access and the devs spent years giving it content updates and special little events even beyond releasing it as 1.0, so it's probably a fairly safe bet that it'll get all the support it needs. i was practically begging to be able to give them more money for something new after the like. 3-4 free, big content updates they put out.
