That's how all of their preloads work. It's really just adding it to your library.

Looks like Amazon is jumping into the streaming game service. Unclear if it's like stadia (pay for each game) or Xbox (pay a monthly subscription to get all games)

https://www.amazon.com/luna/landing-page

edit: \/ - Thanks, didn't see that. Strange, seems like xbox is still the best out of the bunch.

I'm looking for a game recommend if anyone can help me (doesn't have to be on Steam specifically, just something PC), something where you just explore an either randomly generated world, or at least a massive landscape. Preferably something chill and relaxing.

I like games like Among Trees, Astroneer, and The Long Dark, but those are too focused on building up a little camp and staying put. I'm looking for something more akin to just walking across the world in Minecraft and looking at landscapes while maybe snatching up supplies.

Edit: first/third person would be ideal, but I'll take what I can get at this point.

Eastshade? It's like a bob ross rpg.

If for some reason you want to try Stadia Pro and have youtube premium you can get a month of Stadia with a chromecast/controller for free here https://stadia.google.com/SdFGljSduV5z

Are we able to just use the controller with steam after the trial ends? Can always use more controllers.

Picked up Dysmantle during the sale (made by 10Tons ltd, who made games like Jydge and Tesla vs Lovecraft) and am really enjoying it.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/846770/DYSMANTLE/

The trailer is trash, so watch this review instead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xss-eVFSE1g

The gameplay is a really good survival game. You can smash everything, tons of unlocks to work towards, crafting, however, what you craft is permanent unlocks. So find a recipe for tomato soup, make soup and get permanent +5 hp. Has quests to complete, and a souls like mechanic in that resting at a fire respawns enemies, if you die you can pick up your loot again.

It is in early access, so might be worth a wishlist for now, but it is really looking nice and playable.

Ambaire posted:

Dysmantle also has 100% skill based combat. Once one figures out attack patterns and such, it's possible to avoid all damage regardless of enemy type (dodge roll is OP). There's no 'hope you kill it before it kills you' here. Certain enemies do require different strategies than others.

I've got about 15 hours in it and unlocked almost the entire skill tree, but I still have quite a bit of the available map to explore. I'm hoping that the next update will add the sledgehammer so I can just bash a town to pieces instead of having to leave the walls standing. The baseball bat and fire axe only allow so much.

Really enjoying this, haven't been this addicted to a game in a long time. It just seems to do everything right, and I love how it introduces new elements to you.

Combat is pretty easy though once you learn you can roll away from most attacks. Maybe adding stamina would help?

Also, fishing is pretty boring currently but definitely something they could address.

We both work from home and playing games in the office after working in it all day kinda sucks, so hopefully, this will allow us to play more games together without having to be in one room for 16 hours of a day.

Not really sure the best place to post this, but forums favorite Ulillillia has a new game coming out (supposably this year!)

quote:

Baricanna started during the wee hours of May 19, 2021. It was born out of an act of desperation. Covid-19 has shut me out of being able to get a job. I've had PM in the works for over a decade. Sealed Gate has been in the works for even longer yet. I know my followers have been wanting to play one of my games for a long time so I decided to go with making something that was small scale and retro style that combined aspects from Zeliard, Sonic, Act Raiser, and Kingdom Hearts. Thus was born my retro-style 2D side scrolling platformer and RPG hybrid. In only 4 months, Baricanna is about 3/4 finished and is my primary project. I've been working 70-100 hours a week on it every week for now over 4 months straight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptUVNZ-TNwU

If you haven't followed him in the last few years, he has gone from living with his parents and having endless fears, to going to Hawaii by himself, and then moving to Florida and working at Walmart until covid hit. Because of being out of a job, and no longer able to get unemployment he has started a Patreon.
