They actually do point out that Jesus is a prophet, yeah, and in fact part of the film does revolve around "Look, let's do as little damage to the timeline as possible in trying to assassinate Jesus. We just want to stop Christianity... no witnesses means it's all good, bro!" This is the most I'll say because it's loving buckwild and I feel I've already tipped some hand.

Imagine if your sitcom ends with the montage that opens Up and then the old man's response to loneliness is asking his children "but I can still bang this woman who you treat as an aunt, right? That's cool?" It's so tonally hosed on a lot of levels.

I think the final season is the only really divisive part of Fringe but if you liked the opening, you'll probably enjoy it all the way through. It definitely landed its emotional beats even if the (final season spoiler) timeskip to a doomed future and trying to jumpstart a parallel timeline to prominence was a thing some people hated, the cast kept the relationships and development going the whole way to the finish line.

The thing is, the people making these decisions have agendas they can push under the guise of the Olympics every time, and they get their crackdown or development kickbacks or whatever, and in many cases they do so while being free to leave the office or role that they made this decision in before the games themselves ever arrive. The ultimate summary of ASM2 is that Paul Giamatti plays a villain who bookends the film and yet you never get any payoff for how this russian mook from the beginning of the film is now in a mechanical Rhino suit at the end. And it cuts to black before you even see the two trade blows, because GOD DAMNIT SAVE IT FOR THE SPINOFF. That's the ASM2 promise: save it for the spinoffs!

And then they lose a second showrunner and the new guy fires Orlando Jones for being too loud and black. Basically the quote given. Season 3 has absolutely nothing to it's name. It spins wheels the whole time and ends on a wet fart and cancelation.

Nothing gave me a heads-up that my cross-cultural psych professor in year one of college was mad as a hatter more than her first course. I walked in and the room was pitch black with pornography playing on a projector, she's got her feet kicked up on a desk, isn't responding to anyone, eating chips. Whole period goes by, no change. Come back next week and there's only 7 of us down from... I dunno what. She's now teaching a normal class and says "Yeah I do that at the start of every semester to get the fundies out of my class, saves me a lot of arguments." I did not learn much about CC-Psych but I did learn a) that she loved to gently caress and b) she was really into Amsterdam as a whole. Just peak "how do you have a job" educator. That counts as a movie, right?
