What makes it so noteworthy is that it very clearly does not take place in our universe, but in a fictional universe of absurdity that exists solely to grow more and more ridiculous in order to make the main character, a murderous torturing psychopath, a heroic and sometimes even sympathetic character. This is an amazing video on 24: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P52G4Kyq5M

When I was in high school my junior year I had a study hall in the morning with one of the English teachers who would let us watch anything we wanted on the class tv. It was in 45 minute chunks over a week but this was how I first saw Casino. This is also how I first saw The Boondocks Saints and while I now think that movie sucks I'd be lying if I didn't say that I thought it was badass as a 17 year old.

There's nothing in the text of Rise of Skywalker that says that Rey's dad isn't Triclops Palpatine as we don't get a close enough look at the back of his head to say that there is or is not a third eye. We can see by the clear lack of a third eye on his forehead that he is definitely not Trioculus, the other three eyed man who was only pretending to be Palpatine's son.

May as well put some money behind it for the first time in decades. There's no point in trying to copy Bradley's look and performance as Pinhead so going with something totally different is a good idea.
