I remember being worried that all movies were going to be in 3D after Avatar made billions but luckily that didnt happen. That being said Avatar was a much cooler experience in 3D and I'll try and see the next one in 3D if we're allowed to leave our houses by then.

Here's what is missing, it's not Sam who is experiencing financial issues, it's his sister who has refused his help and doesn't want his money. She wants to sell the family boat and be done with it, he doesn't. She had to mortgage out the family house when their parents died and the whole bank scene is a result of Sam trying to get her to refinance the loan, which she gets denied even with him as a potential cosigner. It's not as stupid and straight forward as some people claim, but Disney doesn't need me to defend their massively profitable IPs so yeah.

There's also something like 5,000 planes in the air at any given time and up to 1,000,000 people in them so I also imagine lots of them crashed and now you've potentially got structural or wild fires burning and potentially half as many people to respond so even more untamed destruction.
