Mjolnir can only be wielded by those worthy enough. What worthy enough means is everyone's guess, usually means brave/courageous/righteous enough.

Sirotan posted:I think I've seen most of the Marvel films but it's really hard to recall memorable parts from any of them in particular (including Captain America picking up Thor's hammer, lol). I had to think about if I had even seen Iron Man 3 for a sec and all I can really bring up is that Tony Stark spends most of it having PTSD. Only one I have gone back to rewatch is Winter Soldier, which, with the exception of the last 20 minutes, is a solid thriller with some really excellently choreographed action scenes. That Sam Jackson car chase bit is probably my favorite scene from all the Marvelses. My favorite part is thanos in infinity war, but I'm a Starlin fanboy, still sad they dropped the horny for death plot.

adapting video games for television might be the solution for the whole "striping agency from the viewer/player, doing cool stuff/just watching" problem. On tv usually stories and characters have more time to breathe and grow and connect with the viewer than a movie. Stuff like uncharted are the ip's that have a better chance of working because it's basically Indiana Jones with the serial numbers filed off, and that approach gave us the national treasure movies. Chernobyl's dialogue wasn't that great, it's saving grace was the story, the performances, and kickass editing.

Was turtledove the one where aliens observe earth during the middle ages and decide to invade thinking it would be a walk over but due to relativistic travel arrive at earth when we already have firearms and poo poo gets wild? There are surprisingly few SF stories where invading aliens get totally curb stomped from the get go.remember reading one short story like that from John Steinbeck of all people.

The chosen one plot is as meaningful as a paper origami though. It's a kid that just like other kids, it's not particularly special at its core. Hell, k's journey is the reversal of the chosen one plot, you can still be a cog and effect change. I like it a lot, is not super subtle but it's a gorgeous movie with fantastic performances.even Ford gives a modicum of effort.batista Vs k is amazing work.

I like Aaron Johnson, and I think the idea was to contrast his stoicism with Cranston's unhinginess, but boy howdy did it fail.im pretty sure they came up with the halo set piece and then just worked backwards from it. The first Godzilla shot-reveal is so jarring and out of place for the tension building I'm fairly certain that wasn't set up by Edwards.
