Whilst shooting Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harrison Ford contracted food poisoning and the scene in which he was due to fight a master swordsman in a crowded market was changed to simply show Ford shooting him dead instead. However, the remainder of the scene in which Ford's character sequentially shoots and kills every man, woman and child in sight was left on the cutting room floor when Spielberg noticed the incongruity of a 6 shot revolver firing 87 rounds without reloading.
