like you don't need to click in *all* the drums, it would probably sound boring unless you already knew about that stuff and were trying to do something, but clicking in a simple metronome kinda thing is super helpful for me

nut posted:does ableton have any sampling tools or should i cut and clean samples in something else and import them ableton is probably the best daw when it comes to sampling, it has two dedicated sampler instruments and it’s very good at manipulating samples in the timeline. i don’t use it so i can’t really give specific help but i do occasionally catch myself longing for some of its features

nut posted:does ableton have any sampling tools or should i cut and clean samples in something else and import them one of the instruments is called "simpler" and one is called "sampler" and they both do sampling kinda things. i've only used them once, i put a bunch of start points in a clip of someone singing so it would say words when i pressed piano keys. maybe they're good? ableton can do a *lot* of stuff and trying to understand it all would be hard. that's why i just play with it like a child
