Watching the scene where Diana rescues the children (who are obvious stiff limbed dummies in one of the shots for the sequence) I'm almost, almost willing to say someone in the WW84 writer's room was doing a subversive: As Gal Gadot pretends to be someone who cares about rescuing Arab children, the Lasso of Truth literally slips out of her hand for the first and only time in the film.

The first 90 minutes of this movie were pretty much superfluous. Could have condensed the whole thing into a sub-90 minute run time and I would have been fine with it. But once you break the two hour mark your movie better have a better message than some comic book savior bullshit and 2.5hrs is just offensively excessive
