Hello, you're all going to be extremely pissed at me in this thread. You have great reasons to be. All those posts or screenshots in the other thread? Definitely me; all that dumb poo poo in there is something I've said in the course of this. Why? Because I actually like this careening mess of a site, even though it absolutely loving hates me. Many of you posting here hate me. Way back in the wilds of late 2017/2018, people who frequented the Lowtax Gaming Garbage discord might have noticed something: it was poo poo. It was absolute poo poo.  In between the various links of horrendous porn, racial slurs, and other heinous poo poo there was one thing that stuck out: a discord invite, by someone in it. I didn't think much of it at the time and until Lowtax came back to do Gaming Garbage on a much greater scale I rarely looked at the Gaming Garbage discord. That was a mistake. While lowtax was trying to outlay the problems with his spine his discord was a festering shithole.  Finally another goon and I got tired of this. We messaged Lowtax and said, "hey can you like, uh, just delete the gaming garbage discord and remake it if you're going to use it going forward for streams or patreon or anything going forward. as it is it's complete dogshit full of posts and posters you really would not be associated with any sort of donation drive (the only people posting comments on it are people who were permabanned from SA as it is)" He said, wait, what the gently caress? Point me to them and I'll punt their asses off the server. I said that was too much work and you wouldn't be able to get everybody. So bring GDN in. GDN is, if you don't know, the Goon Discord Network. In many goon discords, it's a little bot. You join and it says you need to auth. If you're a permabanned poster, you can't auth, because you can't access your forum account. We finally get through that and zzzurp. A bunch of people couldn't post in there anymore. They didnt't have access. Before we deleted the discord chat I saved a copy and started looking through it. Found a couple discord invite links, clicked 'em, they seemed innocuous enough. Clicked one; there's all these people from Lowtax's discord in there. I look at it and at first glance it seems like a standard gaming discord. Eventually as time goes on I forgot. I got kicked for idling. In march of 2019 the D&D mods had a crisis we had to deal with. It's 2 in the morning and the only admin on at the time is guyovich. Chairmaster had posted his suicide note in both D&D and E/N. Through absolutely titanic effort on the part of Lightning Knight we contacted enough people and got enough of fire lit underneath the regional PD's rear end that eventually Chairmaster came back to us with a message that he didn't go through with it. I can't than Lightning Knight enough for going through the amount of time and contacts that he did to save this kid's life. In the course of trying to stop Chairmaster from killing himself, we spammed everyone. Slack, IRC, Twitter, Discord, you name it we hit it. So we formed contacts. Some of you may remember, last year there was a security scare. Full Goon Discord Network wide: everybody was told to kill the bot and kick it from their server. Why? Because somebody hardcoded the bot discord token into it. Well, what does this mean you might say? It means that on every discord network it was connected to, whoever had access to it could access every chat the bot had access to. This is a problem. Eventually it gets found out that hey, it might be these people. Wait, what's this discord named? Oh. I was in there at one point. So I pulled out the saved copy of gaming garbage and guess what, the discord invite still works. They say 'wait, didn't we kick this guy? Where did he come from?' I said 'from lowtax's awful discord'; (it's true isn't it?) I start actually reading the discord and talking on the discord. And, it's not great. In broad strokes, it's got some of the greatest hits of Something Awful's permaban catalog. From the guy who (supposedly) carved another poster's name into his skin to the twice banned neonazi, it's a doozy. But I'm again, getting ahead of myself. TFR at one point had a discord. It was similarly, also, poo poo.   Eventually, it gets deleted. Why? Well, meet Aran.  Aran is a delightful character. Helldumped and permabanned off of Something Awful, he later rejoins the forums. Some of you might recognize his later name, PCOS Bill. Punted again, he rejoins the TFR discord. Gets it deleted because solely because he's there. But that's not all!  Aran, the Something Sensitive siterunner, has now joined with the other group. Such a delightful group of people have found true love in each other's arms. Why is any of this poo poo important to you? Because the only way to remove people who are causing trouble for our posters is by unmasking them and tracking where they pop up. Why the gently caress am I in there on the name I use for other poo poo? Well, honestly? I couldn't get another invite that wouldn't be suspicious. I only got in because the Gaming Garbage invite was still active, which I used with my original account so it'd line up. The only major time there were giant open invites to blend in with was when they decided to drop that in the FYAD QCS threads.  Why am I typing all this dumb poo poo? Because the only way to fit in with a group like this, is to post like this. They talk about anime, I'll talk about anime. Guns of the world, sure. Horrendous awful disgusting food concoctions of the 1960s? Yeah. So what the gently caress does this all mean? Well, thanks to being in there, there have been accounts found out and banned and lies given light so they're addressed. I'm not going to give out specifics as to which people got banned as a result. Helping to prevent further doxxing of one of my fellow mods was an added bonus. The thing I gotta ask is, where are you getting your links from? Because hey, they definitely figured out it was me.  That was a month ago. I went in and deleted every single of text I had written after I saw that.
