I tell ya what, it sure makes working from home hard
Even the noise cancelling headphones don't completely block it out and seeing as I got an message from Auspost saying I have a delivery due, I can't keep em on all day and at full volume

All of the recipes I ever used where written down in a book along with the rest of the recipes I'd picked up from different restaurants and it disappeared at some point along the way. It might be stashed in a box somewhere but I kinda miss not having the book

ABC news is reporting that NSW students will be returning to school full-time starting next Monday. I wonder what the teachers' union will have to say about that.

hahahahaha. The federation will continue to be the useless dickbags they've been the entire time that teachers have been dragged over the coals since this whole thing started. The first I heard of any plans was the media reports and while I had my sucpisions that things where going to go back to normal after the education ministers rumblings over the weekend a week is not enough time to put anything into place. We've been told classrooms are safe as houses on one side of the coing yet on the other as soon as they leave your room they are expected to follow strict social distancing measures.

That looks the goods

I have pretty much enough to last me another lockdown in terms of dry goods, probably enough spices and tomato pastes etc to do the same. It would basically just be fresh stuff I'd need to keep on top of

Toilet paper I'm good as well, I got a 24 pack from who gives a crap recently that I'm yet to open (last roll of my last pack just went onto the holder) and they're double length so based on usage that'll last me 4-6 months

My pet peeve at work is co-workers not being willing to learn basic (yr 7-yr 10 ) subject matter. Or brushing off their deficit in science by saying " oh I'm more English brained"

Like , we are specialised high school support staff. Maybe if you find year 8 probability insurmountable, spend half an hour watching some videos on it and do some scratch pad doodling on a lunch break

best thing that ever walked into my workshop was the retired tool maker who became a learning support dude. He was the first one in a while that was good during prac classes and didn't just support the kid he was there to support but also the rest of the class. He copes with the other classes even if they aren't his favourite.
The vision support teacher I have in a different class is also great cause the kid doesn't really want her to be there but she does her absolute best to help out the kids in whatever way she can.

Same. I wasted half of my life perusing a tertiary education and developing an apparently in demand high level varied skill set in the sciences. Was on the FB page for my grandson's school last night and some parents are seriously pissed off over the decision for full-time attendance to resume next week. I can't say I blame them when no explanation has been given for rolling it forward by almost two months. I expect there'll be a high rate of absenteeism.

There’s been nothing of any description from the department either. All we as teachers have to work on atm is the announcement from Gladys and co yesterday. It’s gonna be a poo poo show and half but it’s also very much to be expected seeing as teachers have become a political football to kick around.
I’ll be really amazed if a bunch of teachers don’t end up leaving the profession after the dust settles and I wouldn’t blame them for it at all.
