Basically yes. From the women that fired and sued them:

I'm completely onboard with a rule that says that if you use pronouns you have to use the designated ones (if known). Of course! Don't call people what they don't want to be called. But when I brought up writing in a gender-neutral way, which I do by default as a professional writer who needs to steer clear of gender-related problems, I was told that using gender-neutral language is misgendering. Employees only implied that (other mods argued for it), but when I asked I got no answer, and then fired.

90% of computer toucher jobs are spent googling for existing code on github then asking how to pass it off as a thing they're paid to make/fix on SO.

Its ironic for computer touchers to be shitlords given that central to their worth as one is the ability to make, and accept naming conventions for things just because it makes everything goddamn happy and work when you do. This would make more sense if it was an argument about camelCasing pronouns.

The answer is that it turns out that the internet has just been one big long term relationship that we're all now discovering is pretty toxic, and we're about to break up, stop going on line, and in a few years time we'll realize how much better off we are now, living more wholesome lives, enjoying hobbies, finding really meaningful relationships, and just being better than we all were during this horrible hosed up social experiment.

This but instead of breaking up we're going to propose or get a dog/kid thinking that will bring us closer together.
