I think Lynch’s Dune sucks but it sucks for what I can only see as editing reasons. Every scene having voice over and explaining every bit is not something Lynch would really do. Also the entire last act is cut down and literally voice overed years worth of story to just get too it. It’s a film that’s destroyed in the editing. Everything else I don’t know. I like the visuals and weirdness.

I think people get pedantic in the argument but really I think everyone just wants a nice legal Blu ray copy we can buy at any store that’s any version before 1997. I don’t care if it’s the 77 version, 80s version, 1995, don’t care! Just not the SE. although I’ve succumbed to it and got the trilogy 4k for 10 bucks each so whatever.
