Man, what the fuck, man?

I haven't thought about Feyd's shorts in years.
What is it even like to live in your brain?

Every time someone says the words “I will” I immediately follow it by “KILL HIM” (sometimes in my head, sometimes out loud) and think of Sting in metal panties.

I assumed everyone did the same.

I think that’s definitely true. The good stuff from the Lynch version can’t be topped and the bad stuff shouldn’t be touched.

I’d say you should want to. Be if you don’t want to, you shouldn’t.

I always had an outsized impression of him, even before I read the sequels. I remember being surprised when I reread the book (and especially watched the Lynch movie) how early he gets killed.

I’m willing to attribute it entirely to Duncan Idaho being a pretty badass name.

It’s not like people always have shirts on in real life. Having him fully clothed would just be unrealistic...

I generally agree, but this idea seems less shoehorned than a lot of situations, so I’d be ok with it. *shrug*

GOT did this sort of thing a lot, but one example I thought worked ok was Brienne vs Hound.

I already couldn’t help but be disappointed that it’s not the theme from Lynch’s. This is gonna be tough.

Two things really stuck out:
1) How good the characters look. They’ve managed to take really recognizable/familiar actors and give them a distinct (and badass) look.
2) How much I love the Lynch trailer, esp the music.

Still excited to see what we get here, though.

Basically, the plot of Dune is Paul going to the mattresses.

I’m pretty sure it’s just saying the cover is a shot from the film.

I’m going to watch Dune part 1, but if they don’t cast Billy Zane in part 2, I’m probably going to bow out there.

Waterworld is hot garbo, but I’d probably rewatch it before Titanic at this point.

Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular at Universal Studios is better than most movies.

Probably better than the Dune version would be, too, unless they got you high on “spice” somehow.

Ah yes, remembering the time I learned about egg morphing from the Annie Hall director’s cut.

I read Dune probably 8 years before I heard weapon of choice. Then it was probably another 8 before I made the connection.

And another 8 until I realized what MST3K’s “we’ve got movie sign” is a reference to…

Wasn’t part of it that the BG would be in a position to have more control over the Feyd/Atreides heir than they would over Paul?
