I always thought the names represented how fast they were compared to each other. The a wing is obviously the fastest because we see everyone who drives it suicidally crash into something, then the b wing, makes sense cause theres not very much going on there so its probably pretty light, plus its aerodynamic. Obviously, x wings are pretty slow too. and the y wing is like driving a dump truck or something.
